Friends of Covenant Pines
People with a heart for Camp
“Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” II Corinthians 9:7
“Imagine the establishment of some type of foundation or entity that could provide financial support to camp. Just think if we had begun this when we bought the camp back in 1954.” This visionary statement was made by one of the founders of Covenant Pines Bible Camp, Bill Kredit.
This vision is now becoming a reality. Camp leadership has established the Friends of Covenant Pines (FCP) as an entity to provide on-going capital support to the camp ministry. Friends of Covenant Pines will help fund the capital-related expenses of the camp with on-going annual gifts of $500 or more.
Historically, all capital improvement funds came from designated gifts and church contributions. As the camp grows, these funds are not able to keep pace with needed expenditures. Currently we have a need for a plow truck, new mattresses, golf cart, computers, docks … and the list goes on. A list will be provided showing our current needs to improve the camp. Friends of Covenant Pines is not intended to raise funds for large new projects, but rather ongoing capital needs.
The goal is to find “people with a heart for camp” that will commit to giving $500 or more annually to the ministry of camp.
