Not too long ago I was having a conversation with one of our male counselors. He was telling me about all of the various mission trips he’s been on in his life. He highlighted some cool stories from both Ecuador and Zambia. I was amazed as he told me about the cool ways God showed up on these trips. At… READ MORE

It was a Bright Sunshiney Day

Posted on July 19, 2012 at 7:04 pm

Last night we had some amazing conversations with the Trailblazers here at Covenant Pines. The overarching theme of all of these talks was, “don’t underestimate these little ones.” They are all so smart, insightful, and spiritually aware. We as a staff were downright blow away by the amazing things these kids said and prayed for last night. Some made decisions… READ MORE

Posted on July 19, 2012 at 4:06 pm

My family and I recently attended family camp at Covenant Pines in McGregor, MN.  This summer, camp was a slightly different experience.  Record water levels devastated much of northern MN and Covenant Pines, snuggly nestled between not one but two lakes, was no exception.  The lakes rose 5 feet above their normal levels flooding many areas of the camp and… READ MORE

Junior High 1 is in full swing. Today we played a game that is fairly new to camp but is, nonetheless a favorite; Conquer the Castles. Posted on July 6, 2012 at 12:16 pm

Last night our July Family Campers enjoyed a rousing game of Team Pictionary in our Oak Ridge Dinning Hall. This is one of our favorite Family Camp traditions and it is always sure to be intense. It’s probably unlike any game of pictionary you’ve ever played. The families and camp staff divide up into about 6 teams. Each team sits… READ MORE

If you follow the news, you know that northern Minnesota has been hit with torrential amounts of rain and some storms over the last few days.
