Fall Portage Partners

Portage Partners are individuals and families that share in the cost and the labor of capital and programming improvements at Adventurous Christians. Our current need is upgrading some of our trail equipment.

An appeal in 2011 blessed Adventurous Christians with 16 new Wenonah Adirondack Canoes which have been well loved through 13 summers of wilderness trips. We hope these canoes will continue to serve for many years to come, but the fleet is now in need of considerable maintenance, including the replacement of yokes, seats, and skid plates. Some of our trail gear also requires replacement, including tarps, updated Boundary Waters maps, and new compasses. The cost to upgrade these items is expected to be about $3500. Our hope is that equipment will help us create positive wilderness experiences for years to come or our guests. Thank you for your partnership!

$200 – Lightweight Camping Tarp

$350 – Set of 30 compasses

Any additional Portage Partner funds raised above the $3500 goal will be used to purchase additional programming equipment for future wilderness trips.
