AC specializes in guided Canoe trips and Wilderness experiences that encourage campers to take a next step in Christian faith.
Life moves quickly, especially for pastors who are constantly pouring into others’ spiritual lives. It’s time to hit pause and embark on an adventure that offers both renewal and reflection. Join us for a wilderness canoe trip designed specifically for clergy seeking to unplug and reconnect with God through exploration and the beauty of creation.
On this immersive journey, you’ll paddle across pristine lakes, covering 7-10 miles a day, and portage through remote forests, carrying your gear between bodies of water. As a canoe group, you’ll work together to lift canoes, carry packs, set up shelters, gather firewood, cook meals, wash dishes, and handle other camp chores. While this adventure will be physically demanding, it will also give opportunities for rest and community.
Away from the distractions of daily life, this trip offers space for quiet reflection, meaningful fellowship, and prayer in the heart of God’s creation. Group devotions will focus on themes from The Map is Not the Journey by Richard Dahlstrom, with no prior reading required.
Whether you’re seeking personal renewal or connection with other clergy, this trip promises to be a transformative experience.
Please note: our camp operates within the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in the Superior National Forest. As a BWCAW Cooperator, this business is an equal opportunity service provider.
Meet Your Guide- Trisha!
Leading the trip this year is Trisha, the Program Director at AC. Having guided over 25 expeditions into the Boundary Waters, Trisha’s extensive experience and enthusiasm for sharing the wilderness makes her the perfect guide for this journey. When she’s not guiding, Trisha is passionate about canoeing, gardening, square dancing, and volunteering as a firefighter. She’s excited to connect with fellow people in ministry and hear your stories along the way.
SPE funding is available through Serve Clergy for credentialed Covenant Pastors.
