dave-cairnsDave Cairns – CPM Executive Director

Dave’s history wih Covenant Pines goes back to 1973 when his father was hired as the first year-round employee of CPBC. Since then Dave has worked for Covenant Pines on summer staff, as a Program Director, and as the Camp Director. In the Spring of 2015, Dave was hired as the Executive Director of Covenant Pines Ministries. Dave lives in the Twin Cities with his wife Becky and his three children, Trent, Drew, and Annis.

 

 

matt-braunMatt Braun – Camp Director

Matt Braun started at Covenant Pines in September 2012. He grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and spent many summers at Covenant Point Bible Camp in Iron River, MI, as a camper and on staff. After graduating from North Park Theological Seminary in 2007 he spent five years at Portage Lake Covenant Bible Camp in Onekama, MI, before coming to Covenant Pines. Matt is married to Beth and they have two daughters, Malin and Elsa. He enjoys basketball and soccer, but is especially excited about the upcoming football season—especially when the Bears play the Vikings.

 

Holly Larson – Program Directorholly-larson

Holly began working on full time staff at Covenant Pines in the fall of 2012, after many summers of summer staff and  graduating from Bethel University with education and history degrees. She loves working at camp – her favorite part of her job is working with the summer staff each summer. In her spare time Holly enjoys cooking, reading Harry Potter books and planning her upcoming wedding! She is excited to marry Miles this April – they even met at Covenant Pines! 

Scott Shoemaker – Maintenance Director

scott-shoemakerScott, along with his wife Cheryl and their children, joined the Covenant Pines Staff on March 1, 2012. The Shoemaker family is well acquainted with Covenant Pines, as Scott and Cheryl served on Summer Staff and Ministry Staff in 2000-2001. Prior to coming to camp, Scott worked for Reclamation Technologies in Blaine and served as a firefighter for the City of Golden Valley. He has also owned and operated his own hardwood flooring business.

 

 

Pam Cobb – Office Manager

pam-cobbPam Cobb began working at Covenant Pines in June 2011. When you speak with her you will instantly realize she has lived in the south (Texas and Kentucky) for much of her life. She has extensive experience as a Director of Missions and Office Manager. She enjoys nature (especially living out in the Northwoods), traveling, and entertaining. Pam earned a Masters in Intercultural Studies from Asbury Seminary and has two daughters Elizabeth and Audrey.

 

 

angie-sampsonAngie Sampson – Guest Service Director

Angie Sampson joined our full time staff fall 2014 as our Guest Group and year round Silver Beach Director. Having grown up as a camper at Covenant Pines it had been years since she had been back to camp. Angie’s husband Josh is a teacher which allowed her family of five to move up to camp and serve over summer 2013 and 2014 as the Silver Beach Director. Never would she have guessed God’s call on the life of her family to move to camp. Through many trials in the recent years God’s faithfulness and goodness are a true testimony in the life of her whole family. She is humbled, honored, and excited join the staff her at Covenant Pines. God provided a Tech Education teaching job for her husband Josh in McGregor and their three children are so enjoying their new camp and school community.

tate-randallTate Randall – Marketing Director

Tate started working at Covenant Pines in the fall of 2013. After a year as a member of the Ministry Staff, Tate was hired to be camp’s first Marketing Director. Tate grew up attending Excelsior Covenant Church and has memories of coming up to Covenant Pines for youth retreats, family winter retreats, and, of course, summer camp. Tate went to Minnetonka High School and then studied education at UW – La Crosse. At camp Tate can often be found dancing, singing show tunes, and getting a little too competitive when playing nerdy board games. Tate is very thrilled to be working for camp in this role. He hopes that God will use him to bring more people to camp where they will experience the love of Christ.

char-malinChar Malin – Kitchen Manager

Char Malin has been the kitchen manager and cook at Covenant Pines Bible Camp since August of 2011. Char has been cooking at various restaurants since she was 16 years old.  She feels that coming to Covenant Pines has been a true calling from God to use her talents in the kitchen. She lives in the McGregor area and is a member of the Amazing Grace Church in McGregor, MN.

Sandy lives in McGregor right down the road from CPBC. She has been a resident of this area for her entire life. She joined the Kitchen staff in 2012 and has been brightening up the kitchen with her smile ever since!

 

 

 

 

Sadee Eastlick – Ministry Staff

Sadee is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and is jazzed about at CPBC this year! In no particular order, some of her favorite things include laughter, the color brown, the love of Jesus, and anything having to do with Middle Earth.

Julie has spent 3 summers serving the Lord at Covenant Pines Bible Camp. She is stoked to be working up here a little longer on Ministry Staff! She’s a fresh grad of Concordia University Wisconsin’s Athletic Training Program. She enjoys Harry Potter, gazebos, and pulling socks.

Daniel has been a camper at CPBC, a Leader in Training, Maintenance and a lifeguard on summer staff, and now he’s part of the Year-Round staff. Daniel is aspiring to be the man of many talents around camp! And he’s exited to continue this as Ministry staff!

 

 

Denise Weimer – Housekeeping

Denise Weimer has been doing housekeeping work at Covenant Pines since February 2006. She is originally from Warba, MN. Denise has been married for thirteen years and has a ten year old daughter and a seventeen year old son. She enjoys the outdoors and loves animals, flowers, and gardening.
