Tate Randall Announced as Day Camp Director

Tate Randall will be leading the Covenant Pines Day Camp program this summer.

Tate grew up going to Excelsior Covenant Church. He recently graduated with a degree in Social Studies Education from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. Currently he serves on Ministry Staff at Covenant Pines.

Most campers know Tate as the energetic camera guy as he has held that position for 3 of his 5 summers on the Covenant Pines summer staff. But other campers might remember him as the Worship Director with dreads or the Counselor of cabin 4.

Please read this message from Tate.

Hello! I’m so excited to lead Covenant Pines Day Camp this summer. I have experienced God in a variety of ways in my short 24 years. I have found that I grow very close to God during the difficulties and trials of life. The Bible sometimes uses the imagery of a storm as a metaphor for these struggles. This summer, campers at Day Camp will learn that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). They will learn that not only does God see us during our storms, He cares so much that he comes into our storms, pulls us through the storm, and uses them to bring us closer to Him.

I believe that the campers who come to Day Camp are not too young to have experienced hardship. And I believe that truly trusting that God is always with us is essential for a life-long journey with Jesus.
