Now introducing – Summer Getaways! A few weeks ago we made the difficult decision to cancel all Summer Youth and Family Camps at Covenant Pines Bible Camp. In the weeks that have followed our staff has been busy planning, praying, and dreaming about ways to serve your family yet this summer. We would like to announce what we are calling Summer Getaways to run weekly beginning in July. These 4 day retreat getaways are opportunities for your household to come to camp to rest, retreat and experience Christ as a family together. Our Summer Getaways will run weekly from Thursday dinner through brunch on Sunday. These experiences will be a simplified version of our regular summer family camps with a unique rhythm that will foster quality family time and opportunities for you to experience Christ together. On May 5, 2020 we announced that our leadership and board would make decisions regarding summer programming and COVID-19 in two stages. At the time, the decision to delay summer programming had been made with hopes of beginning youth programs at Covenant Pines Bible Camp and Adventurous Christians in early July.

Over the past several weeks, the CPM Staff and Board have monitored the COVID-19 situation and observed the recommendations of the Governor, the Minnesota Department of Health and the CDC. We have had many conversations discussing different scenarios about what the summer could look like for all aspects of Covenant Pines Ministries. We remain committed to meeting our high standards of health and safety of our campers and staff, while providing the high quality programs you’ve come to expect.
With this background, the CPM Staff and Board have adopted a two-stage approach regarding our plans for Summer 2020. As of today, we are implementing the First Stage.
The Second Stage of our planning will occur in the coming weeks as we continue to monitor new available information and restrictions/recommendations. It is our strong desire to have campers on site this summer.

As we continue to plan for the summer ministry season, we recognize that we do so in response to the information available today. It can be foreseeable that our plans will adjust based on new information. We’ve adopted three guidelines to help frame our summer planning:
- There are no large group gathering restrictions
- There are no travel restrictions
- We determine we can continue to meet our high standards of health and safety at camp
We commit to communicating regularly and timely with parents and guardians regarding any CPM decisions that will impact the summer season.
In response to the COVID19 pandemic, CPM wants to honor the health and safety decisions of each family. If you choose to cancel your summer registration, you will have 4 options to choose from:
1) Full refund of registration fees (including deposit)
2) 50% refund of registration fees AND 50% donation of registration fees
3) You determine the amount to be refunded and donated
4) Full donation of registration fees

- All rental groups and retreats canceled through May 10, 2020.
- CPM Annual Meeting scheduled for April 16th has been postponed.
- We are still planning, as of now, to move forward with summer camp.
