kids Camp

This 2 night, 3 day camp is perfect for first-time campers. They will come back hooked on camp and hooked on God.

Kids Camp is a great way to get young students introduced to camp. For two nights and three days, kids will have space to meet God and get to know Him more. They will also enjoy activities like swimming at the beach, crafts, games and the slip ‘n’ slide! The fun atmosphere and loving staff make campers feel comfortable and safe.

For many of these kids, this will be their first time away from home and family. We appreciate that this is a significant step so we train our staff in homesickness prevention and child development. We also program their stay with so much fun and games that their weekend will fly by and they’ll be ready to return home when the bus pulls up on the last day.

Bridge Week is also an option for 3rd or 4th graders who feel ready for a longer camp experience. Bridge Week is a 5 day, 4 night camp experience for 3rd-6th graders.

Kids Campers will enjoy a wide variety of activities, such as:

  • Craft Hall
  • All Camp Games
  • Gaga Ball
  • 9 Square
  • Gym
  • Playground
  • Worship Services designed just for this age group

Campers will also spend a lot of time bonding with their cabin mates. Many of the campers who come through here say that their favorite part was hanging out with their new friends.

Paula Herko 

Hey, I’m Paula Herko the Director of Family Ministries and Communication at Restoration Church in Rosemount, MN. I love hanging out with kids and students and I’m totally excited to be sharing about Jesus at Covenant Pines’ Kids Camp! I love to hang out with friends and play games, explore Minnesota in my teardrop camper, spend long days at Disney World and read a good book.

Kay Weins

Kay Wiens is the Children’s and Family Pastor at Maple Grove Covenant Church in Maple Grove, MN.  She lives with her family in Maple Grove MN with  husband Scott, and 3 sons – Jared (college), Tyler (college), and Blake (senior) and 1 dog Rocky and 2 kitties Leo and Ollie.   She had the joy of growing up in a pastor’s family and has served in many areas at a young age such as kids’ choirs, youth groups, camps, VBS, mission trips and more.  Over the years she taught in the elementary public schools, instructed piano and flute students in her home music studio, and lead kids in church ministries. Most recently she had a dream come true to be a winner on the Wheel of Fortune TV Game Show with her identical twin sister, Karen.  In her free time she loves power walking, canoeing. and baking award-winning desserts.  Kay’s desire is for all children to embrace that God loves them no matter what and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior in their lives.

The mission of Cpm is to encourage campers to take a next step in Christian faith.
